Prison Babies(canceled)

So we were about to have the LAST session today(20th of May, 2010), but then it has rained cats and dogs for the last few days and the road was all flooded, the children couldn't come. So, technically, the session we had the week before was the last we have seen each other and we really couldn't even say goodbye to the children before we go on the break.

Church Music Concours

We had a small music concours within us at church (16th of May, 2010); this was meant to be to worship and praise the lord more often together within the Korean society.

My group and I have been practicing the two songs(one hymn and one Contemporary Christian Music(CCM)) for last two weeks every Saturday at my house; I played the bass guitar and sang the solo for a bit while my father covered with the guitar, my brother with the drum and others with the chorus. We sang one hymn in four-part harmony and sang a CCM in the band.

It went pretty well. Everyone, as well as our group, seemed that they have been practicing it really hard and prepared for it, and did really well.

Geography Field Trip

I went on a Geography Field Trip to Sinharaja from 12th to 15th of May, 2010. It was for the geography Internal Assessment and it went pretty well. We went into the rain forest which is defined as a world heritage by UNESCO and stayed there for four days. We went around the region to interact with the local and do some studies there.
I went around the area and did my survey for my Geography Internal Assessment. To do so, I walked a lot up and down the mountain and even climbed up to the peak, Mullawella peak.

Prison Babies(canceled)

The LAST Prison Babies session before the break was canceled because the teacher from the prison got sick and couldn't bring the children to our school. It was really disappointing since it'd be the last session with me as a leader. Next year, I will no longer be the leader of the project; I will resign and hand over the leader position(?!) to someone else from next semester. I will still participate in the project, but it was really sad that I couldn't see them. I hope the children didn't get so upset about it or disappointed.

Bass Guitar(canceled)

Since Derek moved into the Galadari Hotel to perform there for the next six months, my father and I decided not to go for the class for a while. Instead, I will practice by my own.

Soon, at the Korean church, we are having a small music contest within us and I might be going to play the bass guitar and lead sing for my group. I don't know how it'd go and my friends and I have met and practiced last Saturday(8th May, 2010) at my house. We chose a worship song to do, and practiced it together. We still need more practices yet, but I believe we will do fine.

Bass Guitar

I had a Bass guitar class last Saturday(1st of May, 2010).
Derek and I played duet(guitar cover) the song, Hotel California as I learned it last time. It was pretty good, I'd say. The beat and the tempo in which the bass line goes are hard to follow in fact and I kept falling behind in the tempo. I will have to work on it more.
