So this week(29th March - 3rd April), our team worked on sprint and distance mostly.
However, I injured my leg from basketball last week, I couldn't do any of those, but some field events like discuss and shot put. I could barely walk on Tuesday, so I couldn't even do the practice , but just watched the team working on their events. On Wednesday morning, I felt better but still couldn't sprint so I just jogged around the labs to stretch my leg.
It didn't really work though. My leg hurts more after that and still. And on Friday, I worked on my field event, discuss and shotput. Since my leg is injured badly, it was hard to balance myself and I kept stepping over and going out of the discuss line or aimed wrong. But I tried something new this time. I usually took 3-4 swings before I throw as a warm up, but then I felt I get too tired doing that. So I thought it'd be better if I throw it at once and explode my power into it. I could throw further, but the aim was the problem. I WANT TO believe that I can't aim because I can't balance myself with the injured leg. Hope I will get well soon.
On Saturday, our team worked on the sprint and distance. I couldn't do anything at first. But gradually my leg was getting better, so I worked on the sprint starting and the long jump. I'm not 100% recovered yet, so I tried to loosen my tense and stretch my leg more.
This Saturday practice was the last Saturday practice we will ever have since we are off for April break next week. I will stretch my leg well and keep me fit so that I don't fall behind.
